Supplier Quality Engineer

Role: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE

Hours: 37 hpw, between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00-13:00 Friday

Are you a quality-focused professional with a keen eye for detail? We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Warwick. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing new and existing suppliers, managing incoming supplier materials, supporting project teams, and handling defective materials. You will also collect and report data, conduct supplier audits, and ensure compliance with quality procedures and business policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess new and existing suppliers and report findings.
  • Approve supplier products and processes.
  • Act as the supplier quality representative in project teams.
  • Manage and document defective materials.
  • Collect and report data on supplier performance.
  • Support corrective action and development activities.
  • Assist with new product introduction (NPI) processes.
  • Conduct supplier audits and manage non-compliances.

Key Qualifications Needed:

  • Understanding of assembly and manufacturing standards.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 & ISO14001.
  • Experience with problem-solving techniques (8D, 5 Whys, A3).
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering specifications and using measuring equipment.
  • Familiarity with PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and feasibility.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Experience in APQP activities.
  • Level 4 qualification in a related subject (HNC or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under own initiative.
  • Attention to detail and report writing skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
