He fills the vacancy left by Keith Day who was appointed Managing Director on the retirement of Kevin Else at the end of April.
Jon has been with Dennis Eagle for 11 years and has overseen the successful development and launch of eCollect – the first all-electric RCV produced by an Original Equipment Manufacturer, the Elite+ chassis introduction and the development of ProView for the North American market. In that time the engineering staff more than trebled as Dennis Eagle invested in new product development and quality improvement activities to meet the challenges of decarbonisation and increased recycling.
Jon said: “It’s 30 years since I embarked on my engineering career, and I am very enthusiastic to see what more I can bring to Dennis Eagle as a member of the Board. But I wouldn’t have got here without the excellent team that we’ve built in Engineering and the family values we try to live and work by. “
“I finish every day proud of what our teams have achieved and how we’ll strive to do even better tomorrow, developing our people and our products to delight our customers and make our business ever more successful.”
New Managing Director Keith Day, who has worked with Jon throughout his time at the company, added: “Jon brings with him a wealth of engineering experience and product knowledge gained over the last 11 years within Dennis Eagle. I’m sure you’ll join me in congratulating him on achieving this position on the Dennis Eagle Board.”
